EarthDay and Crawfest

Our table at Crawfest was a huge success! We fed hundreds of people free vegetarian food, got a ton of signatures for petitions from BikeEasy and the Sierra Club, and sold a bunch of T-Shirts! Thanks to everybody who came out!
Then the next day we went up to Earth Day Fest at Bayou St. John, organized by the Louisiana Bucket Brigade and LifeCity. It was awesome!

Monique Sullivan of Environment America is looking to hire college grads for their fellowship program. If you're interested you can find more information on how to apply by clicking here.

I hope you all had a great Earth Day!

Green Club T-Shirts are here!

They're here!
Skip n' Whistle, a local shop up on Oak St., just got our shirts in today! We'll be selling them for only 5 bucks starting at Crawfest (although I'm thinking maybe we should sell them on Friday too)

Come find us and buy one! Or two! Or six!

Crawfest and T-Shirts!

Crawfest is coming! It's Saturday, April 21st on LBC and Newcomb Quads at Tulane University and is open to the public. Green Club will be there with a table along with our friends from the Sierra Club who will be bringing petitions with pertinent environmental issues. Our friends at Veggie Club will be right next to us giving out vegetarian alternatives to crawfish.

We need people to help table this event. Hopefully we'll have a beanbag toss. We need people to help table so here's a signup sheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AicYFeM8g5Q2dHBhemd3TC1RZzJYYjZvelNaMElHbWc#gid=0

Oh, the funnest part of our involvement in Crawfest is that we'll be selling our brand new Green Club T-Shirts! They only cost $5 so come find us and buy one! We'll also be giving ten away, method of selection TBD. The design of the shirt is this logo on a green shirt:
